Privacy & Data Use
This page explains, in plain words, how the JIPMER Faculty Association handles the information kept for the members area of this website.
What we keep
Membership number, name, department, designation, e-mail address and phone number of JFA members (taken from the association's membership register and from what members add to their own profile), a profile photo if the member uploads one, and a record of sign-ins (time and IP address) for security.
Who can see it
Member contact details are visible only to signed-in JFA members, and each member can hide their phone number and e-mail address in My Profile. Members-only notices and photo albums are hidden from the public. Association office-bearers who administer the website can see the membership register.
Announcements and discussion alerts are e-mailed from jipmer.faculty@gmail.com. Every e-mail has an unsubscribe link, and members can choose what they receive in My Profile. We never sell or share member details with anyone outside the association.
Sign-in security
Members sign in with their Google account or a one-time code sent to their registered e-mail; the site never sees a Google password. Repeated failed attempts are blocked, and sessions end automatically after a period of inactivity.
